Hello!
For one weekend, July 23-25, Boise will become home to some of the wildest bands around. With two nights at the Neurolux, a day-party behind the Boise Depot, and even a river float, Ziesta will prove to be one of the most memorable weekends of the summer!
Ziesta's net proceeds will benefit both Radio Boise and Boise Bicycle Project.
Radio Boise is a group of local volunteers, who believe that it is vitally important for residents of the Treasure Valley to have access to a more democratic form of radio programming—one that better reflects the character of our community. We are currently without a radio alternative that is responsive to community concerns, emphasizing locally programmed content.
Boise Bicycle Project is a non-profit bicycle cooperative, which is kind of like a regular bike shop but completely different. Their bicycle mechanics are actually mad scientists who resurrect donated bicycles and transform them into functional pieces of rolling-sustainable art. Since 2007, their scientists and army of volunteers have revived, recycled, and redistributed over 2500 bicycles into the community. They believe that dirty-greasy hands are a luxury and that bicycle maintenance is an empowering journey that begins each time you enter their doors.
